YPG Tech Talk: The Road to Sub-Meter Digital Elevation Modeled Surfaces (10/16/17 St. Louis, MO)

Oct 16, 2017 04:00pm -
Oct 16, 2017 07:00pm

Event Description

The growth of technology continues at staggering paces, and this is especially true with 3D technologies. Several generations of Americans, Generations X, Y, and Z, have now grown up with digital technologies, including 3D video games. These games often contain realistic terrain generated to give the user an earth-like experience while flying, driving, or walking within a virtual environment. The military service members are now making use of this same technology to train and rehearse “virtually.”

Join YPG in St. Louis and hear from Tom Creel Ph.D., SFN Technical Executive, and
Scott J. Spaunhorst, chief, geosciences division, as they discuss and present some of these technologies and where we are going with high resolution 3D terrain within Foundation GEOINT. Networking reception to follow.
